Airy Wool Scarf, also watch for the Ashbury Wool Scarf
These are the regret-free goodies that I've added to my closet from J.Crew's final sale section. Some were on my wish list, but sold out. So then I waited patiently for those to show up again. For the others, I waited for an extra discount, like their current 30% off promotion with code MUSTHAVE.
Face Nail Polish (3 pack) , also came in a single size.
Schoolboy blazer in velvet here (size 4T in this one for me). I can't believe I waited so long to own it in this color! Even though it's velvet, I see myself wearing it from September through late March. Oh, and nothing revives velvet and removes creases like a quick steam with a handheld steamer.
Isla suede platform heels here for spring. Fit is TTS for me, and heel strap doesn't slip down.
Fanfare jacket in felted wool (size 4 for me), same style as the Fanfare jacket in peacock tweed here.
Blouson dress in polka dot here (size 2 or 4 works for me depending on how much 'blouson' I want),also comes in stripe, and the Royal Paisley dress here.
Tissue turtleneck tee - here (XS works better than small for me when I'm layering under a jacket or sweater). This is an essential piece for winter layering IMHO. Lulu Frost for J.Crew pendant.
I have 2 basic rules for shopping final sale and they've saved me from the headache of unwanted items.
1. I only buy clothes that I've had a chance to try on before they hit final sale or,
2. I call customer service for measurements and compare to similar styles that I already own.

I went to J Crew today and picked up a sequin top for $22. Not bad. You got some great pieces. I love their sales!

Does the Schoolboy Blazer fit tts?
ReplyDeleteI love that color.
Hi briannelee. Good deal on the top! Thanks, I'm headed over to your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteHi girlie blogger! I love the color of the jacket too. :)
ReplyDeleteHi maryeb! Fit on the Schoolboy in velvet is almost the same as last year's version. Shoulders are cut just a touch wider, so it's even more comfortable IMO. I prefer a snug fit in this style so there's just enough room to layer it over a tissue turtleneck. I took a 4 in both versions (last year's and this year).
ReplyDeleteI'd love to get your ideas on how you will be styling the Wildcat scarf! I have it also, and thought it would be very easy to work into my wardrobe, but there is a lot of fabric there...it tends to overwhelm, and I am having trouble being creative with it!
ReplyDeleteWow, you did great and picked some classic pieces. I was able to pick up a couple of bracelets with the final sale and they're beautiful! Thanks for sharing your rules when shopping FS, they're helpful.
ReplyDeleteI love the fanfare jacket in felted wool. Your picks are great & I'm sure the color of the velvet blazer is awesome on you :)
ReplyDeleteI love every single one of your purchases! Especially the sandal and the Fanfare Jacket! I can't wait for you to post an outfits with your new buys!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. Love your style!
