Outfit Post - Lace With Neutrals

This is my it's not quite cold enough outside to wear the coated jeans/leather leggings or warm vest interpretation of the original Anthropologie outfit. The no-fail combination of black, white, grey, and tan makes it easy to find items in my closet now and also later when the temperatures drop to more seasonal lows.

The lace vest I'm wearing is a unique item in my closet. It's J.Crew's Jardin Lace vest, a coveted piece from a few years ago. J.Crew had me at the description:

As exquisite as it is versatile, this vest is rendered in magnificent French lace from Riechers Marescot (founded in 1890), one of the finest lace weavers in the world and a source for many of the world's premier fashion houses. The lace is yarn woven on more-than-century-old leaver looms—a jacquard-like construction that's more time-consuming to produce and far more beautiful than typical knit laces. Our designer finished it with a zip front so it can be worn as a cami or a vest layered over tees, cardigans or dresses—all the more to enjoy, we say. French cotton/rayon/polyamide. Fully lined. Part of J.Crew Collection.
