Colorblock Tee

Perfect-fit colorblock tee (on sale here, I'm wearing small - this is also a good transition top between seasons)
Wool twill studio trouser (old J.Crew, similar here)
Adrianna buckle pumps (on sale here)
Lulu Frost crystal horsehoe necklace (watch for pop-backs)
Belt Forever 21 (similar here and here)
Paisley wool scarf (not shown because it arrived after my picture - it's beautiful IRL - I'll post photos soon)

Reasons why I like this tee so much that I got it in 3 colors? It's a boatneck that flatters a small chest and balances curvy hips by making shoulders appear wider. It's also the perfect neckline to show off a long necklace.

Is it wrong to buy multiples? I say no, if it's something you really like.

Golden stripe bracelet (love the way these look worn in multiples)

I hope the new year got off to a great start for everyone, and thank you all for the sweet wishes on my last post! My goals for 2012 are fairly simple. Sleep more, eat better, stay out of the emergency room, and stay in closer touch with family and friends. I'd also like to blog more often, and do a closet purge/sale and reorganize.

  1. Love the tee.

I have no problem buying multiples which is why I own 15 Jackie cardigans. That's probably multiple buying gone to an extreme though. :P

  9. I buy mutiples but never more than two of the same item and rarely do I find something that I truly like that much anymore! I find there is always something new out there that I like and if I have more than two it takes up too much closet space:)and that's saying a lot b/c I have two huge closets!

  10. Kdot your Jackie collection sounds very much like my stash of perfect-fit tees. Of course both are probably the result of just 1 or 2 additions over many, many seasons. ;)

  12. Hi My4Boys! I think I need to start using accessories like belts more often to add pops of color to an outfit. :)

  16. Hi Lauren! Yes, I was thinking the top would be great with white shorts or ankle jeans, and maybe yellow accessories for summer.

    Thanks for stopping by. :)

  17. Hi Genny, thanks for visiting my blog! Oh, I wish I had had a rule of 2 in my early days of shopping at JC. Certainly my closet would be smaller. ;) I still find lots to like, but I'm trying to be a lot more judicious in what I keep.

  20. I have this tee in black/natural. I actually bought it after seeing it on you and it is one of my favorite tees. I love it with black pencil skirt and red necklace. I agree about the neckline, love it too. I think the elbow sleeved perfect snap tee had very similar neckline and I bought it in four solids and stripe.

  21. Oh, and yes, I do buy multiples. I own countless perfect v neck t shirts and double serge pencil skirt in every color of the rainbow. I have multiples of Repetto ballet flats and recently multiples of Valentinas. I feel like there is nothing wrong with it especially in basic simple shapes. It does create a bit of an uniform look but I am cool with that. It is funny, my mother will always look for something new and unusual (think Anthro) while I am always looking for something familiar and basic. Needles to say she is always like 'Don't you have one just like it???'. 'Yes mom, that's why I know it will work'.

  22. This whole outfit got me on the J.Crew site (not that I'm not there on a daily basis) but there's always certain things that you look over and now I see them in a whole new light! Great outfit :)
