J.Crew Pleated A-line Skirt in Ashbury Floral

I was drawn to J.Crew's Ashbury floral print with all those pretty colors that give it so many styling options. The silk twill is very nice and not thin or stiff at all. The skirt is fully lined and does have side seam pockets.
It loses some points for me by having a ribbon lined waistband, only because I'm not convinced that ribbon will hold up as well as a self fabric waistband.

The skirt is not available in petite sizes so tailoring the hem is the only option for those who need a shorter length.

The price point is higher on this Collection skirt, but after looking around at some of the comparable designer silk floral print skirts this spring it seems more reasonable, and I actually prefer J.Crew's version.

I pre-ordered this skirt during a sale and would say that it's worth buying if it goes on sale again. I also tried it with the Jackie pullovers in the blue and green colorways and both matched it perfectly.

The pleats around the waist lay flat. It's easy to belt the waist, or to wear it with a sweater, or a blouse that's tucked in.
