J.Crew Pixilated Houndstooth Skirt Outfit Styling Ideas

I think the combination of modern red with lavender is unexpected and quite pretty. Colors like lavender and lilac remind me of spring, although I'm tempted to try them now in outfits I can put together with items that I already have in my closet.

This skirt wasn't on my original wish-list for spring, but I really like how the colors in it add a fresh vibe to basic tops. Will you be wearing red and lavender (or lilac) together this spring?

As always, thank you for stopping by and I hope you're having a great day! :)

  1. Hi ABC! As always, I love your ideas! I am going to look at this. I wish it wasn't poly - it could be so fun! You have given me some FABULOUS ideas as to how to pair colour with my Gauguin orange linen trousers from 2011! I love these combos!

  2. I just got this houndstooth skirt a couple of weeks ago when it first came out. Thanks for all of the ideas on how to style it. The color combinations look great as always.

I am so sad that I missed out on the bracelet from Lulu Frost. It looks gorgeous in your picture.

  3. Oooh thanks so much for posting these ideas! I am (not very patiently) awaiting the arrival of the PH skirt, so it's wonderful to see some ideas for how to style it.

I was thinking of wearing it with a navy v- neck or shirt, but think I should be a bit more adventurous.

  4. I love how you did this! Sometimes it's hard to style a piece that has only 2 colors - you think you have to use one color or the other. This shows you how to "think outside the box."

  5. Thanks for this color pairing! I have the lavender Edie and didn't want to look like an Easter celebration when wearing it! I had thought of some other combos but not red!
